The software will only run on PCs which have been licensed. Licenses can be purchased from Peach Innovations and are issued in the name of the purchaser.
To assign a license to a PC or subsequently release it, it is necessary to have an internet connection.
When the PowerLine software is started, it checks to see whether the PC has been licensed. If it has not, then it connects to Peach Innovations over the internet to obtain a license. A user name and password is required: if there are any free licenses allocated to that user name, then the PC will obtain a license and decrement the number of free licenses.
To release a license, run the program
LicenseRegistration.exe, which can be found in the same folder as
PowerLine.exe (by default,
Program Files\Peach Innovations\PowerLine\). This connects to Peach Innovations over the internet. On entering a user name and password, the license for that PC will be released, and the number of free licenses will be incremented.
There is no limitation to the number of times that licences can be obtained or released, so users can swap licenses between machines as often as they like.
