Motion Sensor with Impeller
The boat motion sensor derives speed data from an impeller, showing fluctuations in boat speed through each stroke. It also measures boat acceleration, giving a highly sensitive indication of hull efficiency, check factor and crew body movement.
The sensor needs to be ‘hard-mounted’ to the hull of the boat in the vicinity of an impeller. Its sensitivity means that it doesn’t need to be too carefully aligned with the impeller. Where a system is regularly swapped between boats, we can supply clips to be mounted to the hulls that in turn hold the sensor using a quick-release mechanism.
